Question: Contraceptive injection!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? help!!!!!?
ok well im on the pill (cliest) and its not very good at stopping you from getting pregnant from what i hear and i know many girls who have gotten pregnant on it!
i want to get the contraceptive injection but im not sure if i can, i was taken off the other pills because they made me ill (which is why im on this pill) and don't know if i will be able to have the injection!.
i all-ways use condoms but i just want to be!.!.!.extra safe just in case something happens!.
i am going to got to the doctors and try and find out but untill then has anyone got any experiences similar to mine or is there a doctor on here that could help!?

i am also on cilest and i can assure that if you take it properly it is as effective as any other contraceptive pill!. i have been on it for a long time and i have never even had a pregnancy scare!. this pill helps control period pain as it has high doses of female hormones but there are many different pills that also have high doses of different hormones that can help alievate your periods!.
if you are worried about pregnancy ask your doctor but if you are using condoms and taking your pill properly then you will be safe

Injection!.!.!. It was safe and effective, has a long term effect think it 3 month and temporary, as far as i know there are some injection or injectable (medroxy Progestrone acetate) that can prevent anemia, pelvic inflamatory disease and also a way as a protetion to endometrium and ovarian cancer, It's effect is to prevent ovulation and it thickens the cervical mucus but the side effect is that it could cause irregular menstration could cause an increase in weight and headache!.

Hi Hollz,what a lovely sensible girl you are and I think you know the answer and that is to chat with your doctor, tell him how you have heard that the cliest pill is not very reliable and can he prescribe something else bearing in mind the ones that make youill!. He could also advice about the injection!.
whatever still take the added precaution of using a condom as that acts as a barrier to STD's and if the guy says NO then you say NO

Depo is the shot you are talking about!. I used be on it before I took pills!. I liked it!. You have to go on the first day of your period, and they can switch you right from pills to the shot!. You go in every 3 months to get the shot!. While I was on the shot, I ddidn'tget my period, which I hear is pretty normal and still safe!. I liked it cause I used to dance ballet and ccheer leadingand it kept me from getting a period!. I liked how my body felt on the shot much better than the effects on pills!. I am currently on YAZ and am thinking about maybe switching tot he shot, only cause I got less side effects with it!. I liked it better cause I ddidn'thave to remember to take a pill everyday, but you cant forget to go in at 3 months to get a new shot!. I guess some people gain a little (5 Lbs) with the shot, but I ddidn't The shot ddoesn'thurt bad at all!. They either give it to you in your upper butt or arm ( I think - I had it in my butt)!.
