If you feel you are ready to use them then I would use them dosn't matter how old you are if you feel ready and want to try them then I would try them!.

Tampons aren't made for any specific age, just as long as your on a period, use them if your comfortable with them!.
Personally i use sanitary towels, and avoid swimming lessons!.!.
But its up to you :)
