I used to do them too but stopped because I didn't see anything!.
But then I wanted to lose weight so started exercising every night for an hour or so!. I do 60 to 120 situps everyday and I have seen results!. The solution is to not stop, don't skip them!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's like any other exercise!. You need to do a lot of them, and diet!. But yes, they are a pretty good way to flatten out stomach muscle!. Cruches also work!. Both exercises take a month or so to see any results, and then it's never what a commercial for a home gym will promise you :p Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sit ups can and will help tone your abdominal muscles, albeit slowly!.

Much of what you see in the way of progress is more a function of your overall fitness, and body fat level!.

Cardio work with a sensible diet will do more to reveal abs than sit ups alone!.

Sit ups do help, but not if done wrong!. First of all, you should take seven seconds per sit up, nice and slow!. Also, you can put twists on them such as raising both legs and arms, making a V, which is hard, or using a stability ball!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
