Getting Pregnant After Having Tubes Tied
The U!.S!. Collaborative Review of Sterilization (CREST) found the failure rate for tubal ligation (all occlusion methods) to be 1!.85% after 10 years!.
Of the sterilization failures in CREST, one third were ectopic pregnancies (not within the uterus)!.
Because of the high rate of ectopic pregnancy, women of child bearing age who have had tubal sterilization should have a pregnancy test performed if they have not had a menstrual period!. If the woman is pregnant, then she should be evaluated further for the presence of an ectopic pregnancy
It also depends on whether you have had your tubes tied or cut!. When they tie your tubes they use small clamps to clamp off tube, more or less squeezing it tight so that nothing can get through, however it has happened!.
You best get to a doctor and be checked!. Ectopic pregnancy starts usually with side pain and is emergency surgery, the best way is to have your tubes cut and cauterized, this way they are completely severed and then cauterized (burned)!.
Apparently, you can get pregnant if a small section of the fallopian tubes have been removed and the "ends" sealed, then the cut part of the tube COULD have healed back together, forming a tube !.!.!. again !.!.!. if a section has been removed, then sealed, chances are very low to be able to get pregnant!. BUT it has happend!. My best advice, get a over the counter pregnancy test, if it's positive, then see a OB/GYN!.

Yes you can!. I know of a couple who both had surgeries to prevent pregnancies, and she still became pregnant!. The fact is, the body is constantly repairing itself and the tubes of both sexes can grow and fuse together again as a result of the body's normal healing processes!. I would see a doctor soon to know for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i have heard of that before, its not common but can happen!. my friends husband had a vasectomy 1 year ago and now she is pregnant!. even those dont take!. i would make sure you are not pregnant, good luck!. oh ya my friends friend :) had only one ovaries and the other one was all dried up and not working and she got pregnant !?!?!?!? now days its more than just getting them tied, they get cut and burned too!. go find out if your pregnant and ask your dr if your tied only!. it is not possible if they are cut and burned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
