HI, I'm a doctor!. You seem to be having a Bartholin Cyst, which has to be excised!. It occurs when the opening of Bartholin Glands(which produce lubricating secretions during sexual excitement) are blocked and secretion keeps collecting inside the gland itself making it to grow as a lump!. Please see a Gynecologist or a Surgeon, if you leave it for a long time, you may have dyspareunia or pain during sexual intercourse!.
While you cannot rule out getting an infection following a Trans-Vaginal Scan, it is not very common, as most centers take adequate precaution!. Your worry about having caught an infection unwarranted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, you can go to the doctor and ask but I believe that when you get a internal ultrasound they either cover it or sterilize it!.

I would wait a week and see if it goes away!. It doesn't sound like something serious!. It could be similar to a pimple!. Some women get things almost like a cyst that goes away on its own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I suggest going back to the doctor and asking to be sent to another gynecologist!. When I had one done the specialist used a condom type thing on the ultrasound which he threw away afterwards!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
