First I recommend reading the instructions enclosed with your tampon!.
Use any position you are most comfortable like placing one foot on the bathtub, Sitting on toilet, etc!.!.!.!.!.
Next since this is your first tampon I recommend applying a small amount of lube to the tip of the tampon to ease in the insertion!.
Angle and insert towards the small of your back!. Attempting to insert straight may cause difficulty!.
Use a tampon that's right for you meaning absorbency!. Never use a higher absorbency than you need!.
You may find using a teen, Junior, slim tampon easier until you get the hang of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Read the instructions; they should have illustrations!. I can't really explain, just buy a box and read the instructions, look at the pictures, and you should be able to figure it out!. tip: if you can still feel the tampon when inside you, you may need to push it up further!

There's only one way to put it in - straight up!. If it somehow 'shifts' to one side as it enters, not to worry as it will re-adjust itself after some movement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
just sit on the toilet seat and spread your legs then get out a tampon and push it up i just push it straight forward Www@Answer-Health@Com
