Question: Is it safe to get on birth control!?
I've been smoking on and off lately, and I'm about to start birth control on Sunday!. Will it be okay!? I'd like to keep this private from the parentals, and my doctor is my uncle!. The birth control is called Seasonique!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I smoked for 10 years and I was on birth control!. From my experience it didn't effect the birth control as I had unprotected sex (not proud of this) many times!. It never made me feel sick while smoking!. Your experience may be different, maybe you should call a doctor!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
If you can't be honest with your doctor, then you need to find a new doctor!. Hit up Planned Parenthood, it's free, and they can't tell your mom!.
Smoking while on Birth Control has nothing to do with "feeling bad!." It damages your heart and significantly increases your chances of a blood clot or stroke!. It also ups your chance of side effects from the pill!.
Don't be dumb!. If your'e old enough to go on birth control, you're old enough to either be honest with your uncle (if you're over 16 he's legally not allowed to tell your mom anyway) or to find a new dr!. Your parents want you alive more than they care about the smoking!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The reason you shouldn't smoke while on the pill is because it increase the chances of blood clots, a rare side effect of the pill!. Its better to be safe then sorry, so quiting might not be a bad idea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
