Question: How do you feel after hysterectomy!?
I'm thirty six and going through allot of stage four endometriosis,breakouts infections from tubes having so much scar tissue,I also have intersistal cystitis of the bladder,I feel like I'm falling apart so young,did you feel better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm so sorry to hear of all you are going through!. I too had Stage IV Endo!. Prior to going through a hyst, have you considered seeking out the help of an Endometriosis Specialist!? I do not know where you live, but there are a handful of them around the country!. I see Robert Albee MD of The Center for Endometriosis Care in Atlanta, GA!. Their website is http://www!.centerforendo!.com !. If you go to http://www!.endocenter!.org you can read about Endometriosis!. You can also go to their forums and register for the message boards!. The web address is http://erc!.activeboards!.com !. You won't find a better board for Endometriosis anywhere!. There is also a forum called EndoDocs through the ERC Boards where you can get recommendations for Endo Specialists!.
I ultimately had a hyst due to Adenomyosis!. The only cure for Adeno is to have a hyst!. I bled constantly for a year and had horrific cramping!. Adeno is where endo is in the muscle of the uterus!.
Do I feel better since having the hyst!? Yes and no!. I am trying to adjust to hormones!. While we left one ovary in, it is not functioning normally so I have to take ERT (Estrogen Replacement Therapy)!. I have found myself to be moodier since surgery!.!.!.!.even requiring that I adjust my anti depressant to a different dose! The pelvic pain is essentially gone and of course the bleeding is gone :)!. Overall I am happy I had the surgery!.!.!.it just took me a little while before I was able to say that! :)

My first surgery for Endo with Dr!. Albee was June 1998!.!.!.as of my hyst Nov 2007, I was still Endo free!!! That to me, speaks volumes!
