Answers:
1!. There will not be certain times a day that you will "get your period!." Once you get it, it will last most likely between 3 and 7 days, and during that time it will sort of dribble a little at a time constantly!.
2!. For sports, yes it is perfectly ok to wear a pad!. In fact, that's the best choice when you are just starting your period!. Whenever you are comfortable with it, you can try tampons, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to!. I like them, just because you don't have to worry as much about the way you sit and stuff like that!.
3!. Yes, you will get your period once a month, and each time it will last anywhere from a few days to a week, as I said before!. Yes, everyone is a teeny bit different, and as far as what time of month you will get yours, that is completely up to your body! Your period WILL be irregular for the first 6 months to a year, though! So don't expect it to come on the 16th of next month, and also be aware that it COULD come before that!. So always keep pads with you! And don't worry, before you know it you'll be able to tell when your about to get it!. Eventually it will become a very regular cycle for you!.
4!. When you are having your period, you should always keep a pad or panty liner on, depending on how much you are bleeding!. And expect your period to last atleast several days, so keep wearing pads or panty liners until you can go a whole day without any spotting showing up!. After your period is regular, you'll know when you're going to get your period every month and you can put a pad on the morning of or the night before you get it!.
5!. Yeah, definitely sleep with a pad on!. They make overnight pads, which are a little thicker and longer, so it catches anything that might drip back or forward while you're laying down!. While you are on your period it might be a little lighter at night, but it will come!.
6!. You should check your pad every chance you get at school, and soon you'll know when you need to change it, such as after certain class periods or after however many hours YOU specifically can wear one pad!.
7!. As I said before, it will last somewhere around a week or just a few days, and it will be irregular at first!. so dont always expect it to last as long or as short as it does this first time, or at the same time of month!. My first few periods were 5 months apart, but evened out to a month in between each one, after about 6 months!.
8!. Yeah, you can still do sports, honey! I like wearing Playtex Sport Tampons for running and basketball and stuff like that, because you dont have to worry about it leaking over the side of your underwear!. But if you dont feel comfortable with them that's fine, just wear a pad or an overnight pad, if your a heavy bleeder!. If you try a tampon, wear a panty liner also at first, because if your a heavy bleeder you might have a little tiny bit leak!. And also if you try tampons, make sure you don't go more than like 6 or 7 hours max without changing it, because you can get a really serious disease, called Toxic Shock Syndrome! (TSS) You can read about it on the back of a tampon box probably, or look it up on the internet!.
9!. Make sure you always bring plenty of pads to school, probably carrying a purse is best! Only you can decide how long to wear a pad, because different people bleed more than others!. Just make sure you check it plenty, and be safe and clean!.
~Good luck! I promise it will get easier and less confusing after you've had a few periods! And don't be afraid to ask your Mom or an older sister or female friend about it!. They will have a lot of answers for you and will be happy for you, because getting your period means you're really becoming a woman! Congrats and goodluck!.~

Honey you need to talk with your Mom about this!. You get your it every 28 days for 5 days or more!. It is normal to be irregular when you first start!. It may take a while for your cycle to become normal!. You will know when it is coming, because you will have cramps!. You wear a pad as needed!. Some days may be heavier that others!. You should continue to play sports and do as normal!. I hope I help with your questions somewhat!. Talk to your Mom or a counselor at school for more info!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. you don't get it once a day!. Your period continues (though the flow fluctuates) for up to a week!.
2!. Yeah, it's okay if you use a pad but it may feel really uncomfortable!.
3!. Once your period is regular you'll get it about every 28 days and will last up to a week!.
4!. You wear a pad everyday you have your period!.
5!. You sleep with a pad or your underwear and sheets will be stained and ruined!. You have your period while you sleep!.
6!. You should change your pad every couple hours!.
7!. It won't always be on the 16th, no, particularly because it takes a year or two to become regular!. You might not even get another period for a few months!.
8!. You can do sports still, yup!.
9!. Sure, change it at lunch

Once it's regular you can calculate how long your cycle is, counting how many days from the end of your period to the end of the next one!.

Example: Day 1 without period through day 21 without period
Days 22-28 with period!.!.!.so that would be a 28 day cycle

It will continue like this until you're in your 50's!.!.!.unfortunately!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

- You will bleed continually (not without stopping, but randomly) throughout the day and night!.
- You want to change your pad every 4 hours, or less than that if needed!. This will ensure that it doesn't overflow, and that it doesn't start to smell!.
- You can wear a pad while playing sports!. I would just make sure that your underwear fit, aren't too big, to prevent leakage when jumping around!. It shouldn't be a problem though!.
- You might not have a problem waiting to change your pad until lunch, but you will just have to see how it goes!.
- The average menstrual cycle is 28-35 days!. Because this is your first period, you might not have an average cycle for a while, but you might!.
- The average period lasts 3-7 days!. Usually it is light-medium on day 1, heavy for a couple days, and then trails off after that!.
- Yes you should only get your period about 12 times per year, but believe me, it feels like you always have it :)

I hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

first question;
Honey, once you get your period you have it until the cycles over which can last from anywhere from 3-7 days (every ones different)

2!.Yes of course its ok! If you need more protection you can put on a back up (it can tend to run backwards)

3!.Everyones different so i can't really to you!. ALOT of teens periods are irregular!. I started when i was 13 and would sometimes get it 5-6 months apart! So it all depends on the person and seeing as this is your first period it may be come this once and may not come again until 3 months later!.

4!.Yes you do wear pads everyday, but remember to change it frequently during the day

5!. Like i said, you have your period all the way through until your last day (some woman's flow slows down when their sleeping because your laying down)

6!.As much as you need and depending on how much you bleed, its the same as sitting in a diaper, you don't want to sit in your own mess for too long!.!.

7!. No!. It varies with every person!.

8!.Yes you can!. But you may not want to if you've got bad cramps but if your tummys alright than go for it!. It just all depends on if your up to it!.

9!.Like i said, as much as you need to change it!.

No you may not get it always at the same time!. Like i said at the first stage it can be pretty irregualr!. It could show up now and then not come again for 4 months later!. Confusing i know but its just your body trying to mature!

Welcome to woman hood - good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. you'll get it for about 5 days (sometimes its more, sometimes it's less)
2!. for basketball its ok to use a pad (you might want to change it during 1/2 time if its heavy)
3!.You get your period for about a week every month (so yes 12 times a year)!.
4!. Yes you wear a pad everyday and you mark the days of your calender for when you get it and when you don't
5!. You do get your period when you're sleep so sleep with a pad on
6!. Change your pad every time you go to the bathroom or if you begin to feel uncomfortable (also if it gets full) {Your period last all day}
7!. Usually the same day or it might be 1 or 2 days off
8!. Yes you can still play sports
9!. Thats fine
Just mark your days for now then you'll get used to when it comes but still you may miss a cycle so just always mark when it comesWww@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing you could do is go tell your Mom that you got your period and let her help you with pads and your questions!. However, I will try to help you understand:

Most girls will get a period about every 28 days, so you will have about 13 of them each year!. When your period starts, you will have several days in a row that you will need to wear pads because blood will be coming out of your uterus!. The blood is built up in your uterus so that if you conceive a baby it protects it and keeps it attached to your body!.

1!. You will get it at any time of the day!.
2!. You will wear a pad and play sports!.
3!. If you get it every 28 days, 13 times a year!. Each time it lasts several days!.
4!. You wear a pad only on the days that you are having your period!.
5!. Yes, you will sleep with a pad on!.
6!. You change the pad when it becomes wet with blood or every 4 hours to eliminate odor!.
7!. It will last of 3-8 days, and it might not be the 16th of every month!.
8!. You can do everything you did before getting it!.
9!. Wear a pad to school and change at lunch!.

Now like I said at the beginning, your Mom needs to know about this change in your body!. Why don't you go tell her!.

Hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay I will answer this with as much depth as I can!. :D

1) It comes ALL day for up to 7 days!. Some people are lucky to have shorts periods but most women are 7 days!. It may get lighter as you sleep, but it's all day!. It doesn't stop during the first day and start the next one if that makes sense!.

2) You can use a pad, but tampons are so popular in sport people because they feel more freedom, but a pad should be fine, you should probably experiment!.

3) If this was a perfect world then on a 28 day cycle, Days 21-28 would be your period!. With the extra days in the month I don't know if that's 12 times a year exactly!.

4) Yes every single day during your period! You can use a menstrual calendar (use google or yahoo! search) and track your periods online to calculate when your next one is (it may take a few months) but if this is your few period you most likely may skip a month, or have a period early/late!.

5) Yes you get your period while you sleep, but like I said, depending on the person it can be lighter at night!.

6) Change it as often as needed!. Heavy flows will obviously be more often!.

7) Everyone has different cycles so it's difficult to say when you will have yours and when you first start you may have irregular periods, meaning they won't be on time!. And it should be on the same numbered day (16th) for example, but you can start on a Monday every month!. It last for 7 days, and a perfect cyle is 28-days but not every women has this!.

8) Yes!.

9) Sure!. But listen to your body!. You can leak and not know it! So if you "feel" like your "wet" get the bathroom and make sure your pad isn't soaked it!. You'll figure out your flow (heavy, light, medium) eventually, but it can change from month to month!.

Like I said, sign up for a menstrual calendar, or ask your mother for birth control!. Periods are irregular when you first begin, so if you're worried say you want birth control!. Not only will you be able to predict your periods, but you can prevent pregnancy if you're sexually active!. You have to figure out your own cycle (the calendar should do that) and you probably won't figure out till next month!. Good luck dear!. Periods are a pain, but you'll get used to is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!.They may last for 3-5 days a month depending with a person so its not for
a few hours but days!.

2!.Yes,some may use tampons but I prefer pads

3!.once a month usually, they are not as regular especially if you are
starting!.Its so normal for you not to have them next month but have them twice the following month!.This depends with person

4!.you wear a pad when mestruating(having period)!.As they are not so regular e!.g next time might have them starting on the 9th!.You must
be prepared for any thing like put a spare pad in your bag or purse
for emergency!.

5!.Yes,they also come out at night while sleeping so you need a good night sleep pad, they are longer than the day use pads,to avoid staining the sheets!.

6!.Changing a pad is important especially if the period is heavy!.You
can actually stain clothes if you dont!.So make sure you get a really good bath in the morning when going to school and in the evening when going to bed!.They occur for 3-5 days, heavier first days but become lighter as you are approching the final day day 3 or 5 usually

7!.3-5 days even more sometimes!.They are not regular sometimes so
they change dates for the following month!.

8!.Yes I love sports myself

9!.That will be a great idea,so carry a spare one even if you are not having them just for emergency

Its a cycle ends when tou are about 50 or more years!.This shows that you can be pregnant,So if you have sex you can be pregnant!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. it continusly flows for 3-5 days!.
2!. pads can get kind of messy and uncomfortable in sports!.
3!. You will get your period once a month, starting around the same day each month like mine ususally starts on the 3rd!. but when you first get it it will be very speratic and come randomly!.
4!. you will need to keep a pad or tampoon on/in untill the bleeding stops in like 5 days!.make sure to change like every 4 hours or as needed (except at night just leave it until you wake up)!.
5!. You will get yur period while you sleep so keep a pad on, an overnight with wings works best!.
6!. about every 4 hours, depends on how strong your flow is!.
7!.last for about 5 days and is generally around th same day every month (every person is different)
8!. you might have cramps and sports might be difficult for the first couple of days but there is nothing stopping you from playing!.
9!. I would change it at lunch to be comfortable!.

Talk to friends that have it or relative or even store clerks, every girl is scared and concerned for the first time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. You will have your period continuously for a few days!. The flow may lighten, but it will be there for 3-10 days, nonstop!.
2!. Pads are okay, but you may feel uncomfortable running with it!. If you don't like it, try tampons!.
3!. You get your period once every month, for 3-10 days!. But the first few years of your period, you're likely to be irregular, meaning you may not get it every month!. Eventually, you will get it once every month, which means twelve times a year!.
4!. You wear a pad or tampon every day you have your period!. On the days of the month you don't have your period, don't wear anything!. You know when you have your period because you're bleeding, obviously!. Before you become regular, you may not get it on a regular cycle, such as every twenty-eight days!. So if you feel more comfortable wearing a panty liner or something the days you don't have your period, then do that!.
5!. Yes, sleep with a pad!. Your period does not stop when you're sleeping!. If you don't wear a pad you may leak all over your sheets!.
6!. Change your pad every 3-6 hours as needed!. Again, when you are menstruating, you bleed constantly, although it's not a lot of blood!. But it does not stop for a few days!.
7!. No, it won't always be the same day!. On average, women have a 28-day cycle, meaning that they get their period every 28 days, from the start of one period to the start of another!. So, if you got it on the sixteenth this month, you may get it a couple of days earlier next month!. However, if you don't, it's nothing to worry about!. It's normal not to be on a regular schedule when you first start!.
8!. Yes, you can do everything you can normally do!. Exercise often helps mentrual cramps also!. However, wearing a pad during exercise may be uncomfortable!.
9!. At school, always put a pad on before you go, and change it as needed throughout the day!.
