Could it be cervical cancer?!

Question: Could it be cervical cancer!?
I got a call from my doctor the other day saying I had "abnormal cells" in my pap and needed to come in as soon as possible for a colposcopy and biopsy!. What are the chances that I have cervical cancer!? The only symptoms I've been having is bleeding after sex (different than period blood), loss of appetite, and occassional pain during sex that comes and goes!. Is is possible I actually have cancer!? Answers:
Having abnormal pap test results does not necessarily mean that it is cervical cancer!. You may have HPV which could be causing you to have abnormal cells around your cervix!. There are many different strains of HPV, few being high-risk and cancer causing, and others being low-risk causing genital warts or no symptoms at all!. Your doctors should be able to figure out from the colposcopy and biopsy if these cells are already cancerous or pre-cancerous, or it may be little concern at all!. Just stay calm, get the testing out of the way!. Cervical cancer is one of the most treatable forms of cancer, but having an abnormal pap test result does not mean you have it!.
