Answers:
It's probably just period pain!.

I know that some women, myself included, have pain on whichever side the ovary released!. Your cycle follows a pattern, for example, your left ovary will release an egg, then you'll have your period!. Then, your right ovary will release an egg and then you'll have your period!. It follows that pattern, so the pain you're feeling specific to one side is probably pain from that!. I get it all the time!.

Stress or other things can affect your period, which if it was late could probably be the case!. I find that when my period gets confused about it's schedule it's usually more painful and I have more symptoms of menstrual discomfort!. If you have a regular cycle the reason you haven't had this pain before is because your cycle is regular!. My cycle is all over the place so I get this pain all the time!.

If you're worried about being pregnant, you could take a pregnancy test, but I'm not sure that's really necessary!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Period pain is common and many women are told that it is normal!. Period pain is not normal it is a sign that something is not quite right!. It sounds as if your hormone cycle, which is normally quite regular has been upset by something!. This could be a variety of things, if you have been under stress over the last month, or if you have changed your eating habits dramatically!. It may be that you did become pregnant for a short period of time but aborted after a few days!. Ovulation happens on or around day 14 of the period and some people feel the release of the egg, after all it is a cyst that bursts!.

You will know what may have triggered the event and can think about correcting the situation!. It could be that you do have an infection or certainly some internal inflammation, hence the pain!. This internal pain can often result in a lower back pain!. You need to try and work out what has happened to cause the problem, then you can try and put things right!. If this continues then you should not wait to get it looked at, if you do nothing then things may start to get worse and you may have or develop something like endometriosis!.
