As you see above for 5'7" height, the weight for
small frame is 123-136
for medium frame is133-147
for large frame is 143-163

So your weght of 157 lbs is for a large frame!.

So definetly thick side , as a large frame!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how you feel about it!. If you feel like you can tone up, then perhaps it is on the thick side!. If you look in the mirror and feel fine, then perhaps you are!. I mean, I carry most of my weight in those areas and I put on 30 pounds in a year (ovarian cysts) and what were once thighs and hips I liked filling out in dresses were now some I wanted to get rid of!. I believe it depends on how you feel as long as you are in your right frame of mind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Kind of!? But it all depends on how muscular you are!. I'm about 5'6" and I weight 153!. I consider myself a little bit overweight, I've gained probably fifteen pounds or so since about year and a half ago!.

It's different for different people though!.
Consider talking to a physician, or getting your bmi figured out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well anything over 160lb is overweight, but if you are more muscular your current weight could be ideal for you!.

Also it's better that the weight gain is in the hips and thighs rather than the waist!. Only lose the weight if you personally feel unhappy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A 17 pound gain in one year seems a bit more than average - are you eating a well-balanced diet or overloading on empty calories!?

There are several height-weight charts, but your doctor can ultimately tell if you're a healthy weight!.

well 157 isnt that thick!.!.!. in fact, id call that healthy weight for 5'7!. my friend is 150 and 5'6 and shes normal weight!.

and dont worry, i gained 20 pounds in a year once i ate like mad!.!.!. but then i lost it all again!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

140 was your ideal weight!. I'd say 157 is on a thick side but start eating healthy and excercising and you'll be back on a track again in no time!.
I'm sorry if i offended you,i didn't mean to!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
