Should I go on Yaz birth control that my derm prescribed?!

Question: Should I go on Yaz birth control that my derm prescribed!?
Okay I have badd acne and have tried everything topical!. I think it's a hormone problem b/c I have irregular periods!.!.!.like 2-3 months apart!. So my derm prescribed Yaz birth control pills for me, but she didnt sound like she was so sure of herself!. So should I go ahead and get the Yaz now or should I wait a few more weeks!.!.!.I made an appointment to see a gynocologist!. I just don't know if I should take some med into my system w/o professional advice first (like I said before, the derm didnt even know much about it)!.

Also does anyone have experiences with Yaz!?

Answers:
I don't have any experience with Yaz but I do have experience with dermatologists!. If I were you I would always second guess what a dermatologist says -- always either get a second opinion or do some research!. I have had dermatologists prescribe medicines for me that had side effects that way exceeded what I was being treated for!.

You are wise to check with your gyn!. Don't take anything until you find out some more information from someone who knows about the rest of your body and how it will be affected if you take Yaz!.

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

id see a gyno 1st cuz your derm didnt sound sure and then you can bring it up with the gyno at that appointment that way you have 2nd opinion on if its right for youWww@Answer-Health@Com

from girls i know yaz has been the best bc theyve taken!. Some girls say thats the only pill theyve had that hasnt changed their mood, some girls get super sad, or super angry when on the pill but with yaz i havent heard anything bad about it!. Once girls go on BC their acne tends to go away since its testosterone that stimulates oil production!. Its pretty much safe, if you feel like the mood swings are bad you can stop but, you cannot go on accutane for your acne as they require several forms of birth control before they allow you to take it!.

Im pretty sure you should already gotten a blood check for a hormone imbalance most girls id say 80% have a huge reduction in acne after BC!. If not i would consider the accutane (only if its really bad, girls tend to exaggerate like crazy, bad acne isnt one or two spots a month its more like 1 cystic acne a week or 10 zits a week) but either way you should go with the BC antibiotics shouldnt be used long termWww@Answer-Health@Com
