Periods don't burn calories! What you are experiencing is as a result of the hormone changes in your body at this time!. Some hormones when their levels rise will make you feel sluggish and hungry!. You also retain fluid as a result of the hormone changes and this explains the sudden rise in waist size!. The period is, as far as the body is concerned, just a small bleed over a couple days and nothing more!. It has prepared for it to happen so it burns no energy at all!.
Why not have a few M&M's if you want them!.
Your body should be back pretty much to normal within 10 days or so!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi! :) Okay well before you get your period, you retain a lot of water weight, so once you finally get it, you'll lose some of it, so that's probably whats happening!. It doesnt burn calories or anything like that though!.

Craving food and being hungry is one of the many things that happens to us girls!. Some get cramps, others get sleepy like I do, and many of us crave food! And yes, have some M&Ms!. Periods dont make u gain weight, it's just temporary bloating!. It'll go away when your period is finished!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes periods can make you gain weight - but only temporarily!. the few days before and first couple of days of your period you will be a few punds heavier, but its only water retention, and you will lose this whithin a couple of days!.

and you crave chocolate because chocolate contains iron, and you lose iron in the blood for your period!.

its all normal! (and annoying but part of being a woman!)

I say go for the M&M's, but it moderation!. You don't want to eat too much sugar that you get cramps!. And you are probably experiencing bloating or water retention if you have gained an inch!.

I know I am tired on the first few days of my period, so I would say you burn a lot of energy, yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
