Hey hun!!

Well I know exactly what your talking about!. I'm not sure what procedure the doctor is going to perform cause there are several of them!. You could either be having a colposcopy or biopsy, or a LEEP!.

I've had all of them!. The procedures were very quick!. Um, it didn't take long at all!. Did the doctor tell you that you have Cervical Dysplasia!? Cause usually thats what it's called!. I'm only 24, I'll be 25 next month and age has nothing to do with it!. Women of all walks of life are going through this right now!. It can be rough dealing with the reality of having to go through this!.

There are support groups online of women who know exactly what you're going through!. I'm part of a group on yahoo groups called Cervical Dysplasia!. I like the group, I was telling another woman about the group earlier!. The women are very nice!. It's a great support system!. You should check it out!. It's easier to talk to women who are going through what you're experiencing and who've been through it!.

I hope I've helped you hun!. Everything will be ok!. It's very good that your doctor found this now and that you're taken the measures need to prevent anything from happening!. Now listen, just because you have this procedure once, does not mean this is the only time you need to have it!. You may need to have the same procedure later on down the line!. After you have the procedure, you should have you next next pap three to sex months later to check to see if the abnormal cells have returned!. Just make sure you stay on your doctor about whats going on with you!. Do some research on the internet and continuosly ask questions!. If your doctor makes you feel funny about asking him/her questions, find a different doctor!. Your doctor should be there to support you!.

Also, make sure you ask for a copy of your medical records for before and after the procedure and about the lab results, because the tissue that will be removed will be sent to the lab and tested!.

So any help you need please check out the group Cervical Dysplasia!.

Hope I've helped you hun!. Take care of yourself and think positive thoughts!. Everything will be ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's so common!! I've had heaps of friends have this minor procedure done and it's fine!! It's not painful - they will give you a general or else a sedative of some type and numb the area!. It's so so commong for girls your age!. It's the purpose of pap smears!! You'll be fine!! One of my friends said that afterwards she had cramps similar to period pain - nothign extreme at all!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

this procedure is usually done in the office!. They usually do not put you under for this procedure!. You should be able to go to
work the next day, and might just have some cramping from the biopsy for a couple of daysWww@Answer-Health@Com
