Question: Can you get pregnant while taking the placebo portion of a birth control pack!?
My GF told me you can't but I don't understand how it can prevent you from getting pregnant if you are just taking placebo's for 5 days, especially since they say if you miss 2 in a row you can get pregnant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I never understood that either!. I think it's something to do with the amount of time (three weeks) between sugar pill periods!. Whatever it is, I've been on the pill pretty much my whole adult life and it's worked for me! I think there'd have been a HUGE uproar well before now if women were getting pregnant during the sugar pills!. Don't worry about it - it works, so long as you take it according to the instructions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Because during those 5 days it should be almost impossible for you to get pregnant even if you weren't taking the medication!.
You know of the rhythm method of birth control!. It doesn't work very well, but does moderately reduce the chances of becoming pregnant!. It is those few days each month that the rthythm method targets!.
And also mind you that a large dose of birth control medication can terminate a pregnancy in its early stages!. So when you start taking the actual medication again, it will end any pregnancy that may have happened in the last two days!. This is why many believe that birth control is a sin!.
