I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and per usual i'll be asked if im 'sexually active'!.!. What does that actually mean!? I had oral sex about 3 weeks ago but i havent lost my virginity so am i sexually active!? Just for future reference once you do have sex are you always sexually active!? xWww@Answer-Health@Com

The problem with asking a question like this is that everyone has a different idea of what sex and virginity are!. Since you're having oral sex, and probably doing other things, I would say you are sexually active!. STD's can, can, can be passed through oral sex!. And usually once you've lost your virginity you're active!. The easiest way to let your doctor know what's going on is to just be honest and give more than a yes or no answer!. Tell him that you're still a virgin but you've had oral sex!. I know it's embarrassing, but the doctor needs to know so he can check you for any diseases!. If he didn't know you may have something and he wouldn't think of it because he thinks you couldn't have any STD!. And say for instance you lost your virginity but didn't have sex for a long time after that you should let him know!. You would just say I've lost my virginity but haven't been active for however long!. Always be truthful and thorough, your doctor has heard it all and needs to know to help you properly!. However, from a medical perspective you do need to tell your doctor, because you can still get STDs from having oral sex!.
Therefore, your doctor must know, in order help you prevent getting dangerous and deadly STDs!.

Oral sex is sex!. STD's and STI's can both be transmitted orally!. So, if you are having oral sex, then you ARE sexually active!.
As for the second part of your question, it has been my experience that I always tell the doctor that, yes, I'm sexually active!. Even though I'm old, fat, ugly, and single, it just sounds better to say yes!. Besides, I think it's always best to let the doctors know all of the possibilities, just in case!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no you're not, and just because you lost your viginity and doesn't have sex again after for awhile does not mean you're sexual active either!. Or in your case, just because you've had oral!. Sexually active is where you are actually having intercourse, probably at a steady pace, (for example, 2 times a week) like if you were having sex with your partner!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Basically, they want to know if you have had intercourse (what a stupid word)!. That way, they can check you for communicable disease, pregnancy, etc!. For part 2 of your question, you are only sexually active if you are engaging in sexual activity in the present tense!.
