What would be my options if I don't want to have my period anymore (temporarily or permanently)!? Are there any positive or negative effects!?

you can take birth control pills!. talk to your health care provider or planned parenthood!. there is a specific brand marketed for allowing you to have 4 periods a year, but you can do it with most birth control pills by skipping the placebo pills, but make sure you talk to your health care provider about doing this before you actually do it!.
There is also a tiny, contraceptive (meaning birth control) rod that can be implanted in the upper arm!. Using a slow release of artificial progesterone to fool a female's body into thinking she is pregnant, this stops menstruation for three years, or whenever you want it taken out!. A specific brand name is Implanon!.
The Depo-Provera shot stops the period for up to three months in a row!.
Using a vaginal ring, such as NuvaRing, can stop your period!. Though the instructions are to remove the device after three weeks in order to have a period, some women replace the ring immediately after taking the old one out!. Women can go years without a period using this method!. But again, talk to your health care provider and get his/her approval before doing so!.
Some methods of birth control work better for some than others!. You may experience spotting, bloating, or still get your period, and in that case a different form of contraceptive should be used!.

Tubal ligation ("getting your tubes tied") is a voluntary surgery in which the fallopian tubes are severed and closed off in order to block the released egg from reaching the uterus and achieving fertilization!. some methods of birth control can stop your period!. the pill can make your flo very light and the jag or implants can stop it all together!. if you just want to skip a month and you are on the pill you can run pill packets together but this is not really recommended for continuous use!. people react differently to the jag/implant but most get on fine with no side effects!.

If you do not wish to ever have children, you can get your fallopian tubes clamped which will stop hormone flow and ovulation along with stopping your periods!. Plus, with your tubes tied, you never have to experience menopause! In fact, it has been proven that women who have fewer periods are much less at risk to uterine complications such as cysts, fibroids, uterine polyps, ovarian cancer, hormone disorders, or irregular bleeding patterns!

Having your tubes tied keeps you from ovulating!.!.!.not from getting your period! So don't listen to those people! Many methods of birth control can stop your period, but they all have side effects!. You can talk to your doctor to find the best choice for you! Or there is a hysterectemy, having your uterus etc!. removed, but that causes early menopause and you have to go through hormone treatments!. Birth Control's your best option, and you can always stop if you decide to have children!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
