Question: When Should I Start Taking my Birth Control!? (Yaz)!?
I was just prescribed Yaz Birth Control!. I haven't yet taken it!. I am using the "Sunday" method!.

My question is, I just got my period yesterday (Saturday) so do I start taking my birth control today!? (Sunday) or the Sunday AFTER my period, which would be NEXT Sunday!?

I tried B!.C!. a few months ago, and took it the day I got my period, because it was a Sunday, and my period lasted for 17 days!

I'm scared to try it again!. Any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You should begin taking your pills today!. Think carefully what time is best for you to take the Pill!. Perhaps set a cell phone alarm at the time when you would like to take the Pill daily!. My friend got prego because she was taking her pill every morning when she brushed her teeth--the problem was that she woke up early during the work week and slept in on week ends!. Be aware that certain medications interefere with how the pill works--like antibiotics!. Always tell your health care provider that you are on the Pill for that reason!. Good luck!. Use condoms always to prevent std's!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i would start taking it the day your period ends!. i know everytime i've taken my birthcontrol while i was having my period it would just prolong my period!. you won't have any problems with the birthcontrol effectiveness or anything if you start it after your periodWww@Answer-Health@Com
