If you have normal thyroid hormone levels (Free T3 and T4), then taking synthroid could be dangerous because it could cause a hyperthyroid state, which risks palpitations and abnormal heart rhythms as well as overgrowth of the heart muscle, inability to store necessary nutrients, high temperatures, and other signs of an overactive system generally!. Women who develop a hyperthyroid state during pregnancy can have a high risk of losing a baby!.
