You can never have too much music! If you play all that music too loud then that may lead to you being deaf!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes back in the 70's i had these Altec Lansing professional voice of the theater speakers and 2- 150 watt amps!. In movie theaters they are supposed to hit 123 db!. at 70 watts to this day my ears ring because it damaged hair like receptors in my inner ear!. i hear about half as much as i used to!. so the loud music did damage my hearing, and i'm not alone!. YES! There is a connection between loud music and deafness!. Check out H!.E!.A!.R!., "Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers"!. There was an article in Rolling Stone magazine three years ago discussing the prevalence of hearing loss for musicians like Pete Townshend, (he donated 10K to help start H!.E!.A!.R!.)!. The website is hearnet!.com!. It's a resouce nonprofit group for musicians and music lovers!. There is a huge risk for hearing loss among kids and adults who listen to loud music!. They have been doing studies to try and nail down just how much loud music is too much!. Right now they say that risk for hearing loss depends on how far away the music source is from the eardrum, so that the regular headphones are a bit safer than those earplugs!. They think that the maximum 'dose' of loud music per day is 30 min using the earplugs, an hour with headphones!. Now rockers like Elton John, and actually most of them, are performing with earplugs in their ears to protect their hearing!. But there is great concern that the kids most at risk for deafness related to loud music are just not aware of the risk!. If you are experiencing symptoms of hearing loss, my advice (I am hearing impaired myself, and worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for many years) you must see a doctor and get a hearing test to see what's going on!. Also please stop listening to loud music, if that is something that you do!. My own hearing loss is a result of Meniere's Disease, I have a loud tinnitus too, that means my ears ring--that is one sign of noise damage!. I hate to see people take chances with their hearing, because I know what it means to live with compromised hearing--it's not fun!. I miss being able to hear conversation and music too!. Please believe--the musicians that didn't know about the dangers of loud music are paying for it now!. Take care of your hearing--and good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com
