You can actually go to either!. I prefer to go to a ob-gyn (gynecologist) only because that is their speciality!. Plus everytime I go to the family dr for something minor I don't want to feel funny thinking he or she has seen my "stuff"! That's just me!. Whatever makes you comfortable is what you should do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think both can do the procedure but the gynecologist has more experience with it since they do it more than a general practitioner!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
