I missed a period... But I'm not pregnant (Might be TMI, sorry!!)?!

Question: I missed a period!.!.!. But I'm not pregnant (Might be TMI, sorry!!)!?
I was kind of late with my period, I got my first one in may, so it's still pretty irregular!. I've been keeping track though!. In may and june it was between light and normal, pretty consistent, and then in july, it was really, really heavy!. So heavy I went through a super tampon and a thick pad in less than two hours!. In august it was spotting again (I got it on about the 20th of august) and then nothing in september!.!.!. nothing yet in november!.!.!.

My mom said that the reason my period was late was because I was too skinny (lol idk why i eat like a pig), and from this year's checkup in april i had gained 17lbs (but in boob & hip growth) and then in may i got it, so I'm not pregnant (never had sex) and i'm not too skinny because I haven't lost any weight!.!.!. so what's going on!? Please help!!! thanks!!!!!!!

?God Bless!!

This is normal!. You're young so you're cycle has yet to completely regulate itself!. Other considerations are how much stress you're experiencing and your level of physical activity!. High levels of both can lead to irregularities!.
However, if the heavy bleeding persists talk to your doctor about it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey , i was the same when i first started my periods , took about a year for mine to get into a regular cycle i think its quite normal in the first few months for periods to be all over the place , hope this helps , you can always see your doctor, Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's normal!. When you first get your period it will be very irregular!. When I was your age I used to go two and three months without one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh yea I remember when I was your age, usually your period takes time to get regular!.!.!.mine took a few years!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

thats very normal if u just started in may!. (oh and btw this month is october, not november!. :])Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will start to get regular after half a year, I think!. When I first started, my didn't regulate until after 5/6 months!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some information on your cycles below!. GWww@Answer-Health@Com

It takes about 2 years for it to be regular-- and welcome to womenhood (periods aren't that great, as you may have noticed, sorry for the let down)!

If you've been a patient at a Gynecologist's office, then call and ask-- you don't need to go in for an appointment if it's a quick concern!. Your Weight may or may not be an issue!. I wouldn't worry about it-- it's been about 2 months!. If you don't have it for a third, go in for a gyno appointment to make sure you don't have ovarian cysts!.

Overall, this isn't too big a deal-- mine took 2 1/2 years to stabilize and then went wack (I'm on birth control right now to keep it steady, even though I don't need it from a sexual standpoint)!. It's not indicative of illness, but it's something to watch!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
