How to make your own maxi-pads?!

Question: How to make your own maxi-pads!?
I start a new job tomorrow, and I just got my period about an hour ago!. I think the powers that be are playing a cruel joke on me, as I'm required to wear khaki pants and I'm completely OUT of pads (no money either 'til our paydays)!.

What can I use from around the house that would be absorbent yet discreet!? My pants are rather form-fitting in the crotch/booty area, so I don't want it to look like I have a small child stuffed down my drawers!.

I'm thinking breast pads and medical tape, but, does anyone have any other ideas!? I have tampons, but I'd like a back-up pad just in case!. Khakis don't stain well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Before I started wearing tampons, I used toilet paper all the time because pads were so uncomfortable!. I still use toilet paper as liner sometimes when I think I'm not going to be able to change my tampon for a while!. Usually if you have two separate pieces the first one will absorb most of the blood and then the second one will catch any leakage, for a few hours at least!.

Also, you might interested in menstrual cups in case you ever get caught in this situation again!. Or you can make cloth pads from fabric and cotton!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Aww, hon!.!.it's your birthday! WOOT! Celebrate this month's arrival right!. Might I suggest!.!.!.!.
A babby diaper and duct tape
~OR~ A kitchen sponge and bungie cords
~OR~ Just throw caution to the wind and buy a Depends adult undergarment
~OR~ Just nix the pants all together and wear just the Depends or any of my other suggestions!. That's sexy too!

I hope this period is extra special, and creates a lasting memory for you, as you start on your new workforce adventure!. Good luck tomorrow!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can easily make a tampon, which is what you need anyways!. With the tight khakis, a homemade tampon is the way to go!.

Pass a piece of string or a shoelace through and around a roll of toilet paper!. Then cram the roll up your hole!. When it reached its capacity, use the shoelace to pull it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OMG! It's my birthday too! We must be soul sisters!. Do you have any Bounty paper towels!? According to the commercials they are the most absorbent thing on the market, plus you can just wring out the extra moisture and keep on going!. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Edit: Cram the roll up your hole!? Mo, you have such an elequent way with words!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is nothing to use!. You NEED a pad!. Toilet paper WILL NOT work!. It will not stay in place and it isn't absorbent enough to make you not stain!. You NEED to use an actual pad or frequently change your tampons!. There is no need to use a pad as back up from a tampon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

embrace you femininity, go natural!. just let all your womaness come through!. just bring a few pairs of pants !. you'll need to change after you start sticking to the chair!. good luck and shine on!.

Mickeys cloth diapers! Maybe a prefold, paper towel would seem more absorbant!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, you've gotten some really stupid and sarcastic answers but I have the real one!. Use flannel, if you have an old shirt or flannel sheet set that would work just fine!. Fold or stack cut pieces so you have about 5 or 6 layers , pin together and pencil an outline on the top layer!. Sew together, then cut around the edge about 1/4" from the seam!. It may work best to cut "wings" and put a snap on them so they will stay in place!. You can throw in the wash and reuse until they wear out!.

In the future though I would highly suggest a menstrual cup!. It's the safest thing to use hygiene-wise, you can wear it all day without it leaking, and you only have to buy one (for about $25) that will last for 10 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh yes we cannot interrupt the camel toe! Hmm!.!.!.!. Let me think!.!.!.!.
Oh Ive got it! Do you have any markers!? Of course you do your a mom! Take the top off the marker and turn it hallow side up insert it into your woman hole and let it fill!. Once it has reached capacity dump rinse and reuse! Sh*t I think I may have just save the world just now! Your welcome everyone!

Oh and for added protection use a bandaid it Should help keep it (the marker cover) in place!. You shouldn't need the extra protection as long as you stay vigilant in your dumpings!.
Good luck I hope this helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com
