Can anorexia make you fail a pregnancy test when you are actually pregnant?!

Question: Can anorexia make you fail a pregnancy test when you are actually pregnant!?
I have anorexia nervosa, although I have been recovering and gaining weight as of late!. In the past I used to not menstruate, but for the past few months I have been getting regular periods!. I have been having sex a lot with my boyfriend and skipped my period this month!. Additionally, my breasts are extremely sore, like unbearing pain I can't even handle it!. The skin on my nipples is dry and my boobs feel really, really weird!. They are way bigger than they normally are!. I was examining my nipples and saw they are swollen with bumps, and when I pressed on it too hard a liquid came out! I am afraid that I am pregnant, what else could be going on!? I took a pregnancy test 5 days ago and it came out negative!. Can my eating disorder make the pregnancy test results screw up!? I'm going to the doctor on Friday but I would like some insight in the meanwhile!. Thank you very much!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yea, it's possible!. Pregnancy tests measure the levels of a hormone- hCG!. Since you are a recovering anorexic, it is possible that your body is at this point still only capable of producing such minimal levels of this hormone that it is not being picked up on the tester!. hCG is usual secreted by some of the layers surrounding the embryo, but your body just might not be able to do it very well yet!. This happens to other people, even ones who aren't anorexic!. It's ok though if you are, don't worry, things will work out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure, but you need to start eating if you are pregnant!. Go see your doctor and tell him about your eating disorder!. I used to be bulemic, and it's not easy to come out of, but I had to realize that I need to be healthy for the future family, which you may have soon!. Pregnancy is not something that's screwed up w/your body, it is a consequence!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is totally possible so yea go to your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
