Question for Mirena birth control users? I need input on this!?!

Question: Question for Mirena birth control users!? I need input on this!!?
Okay, before the actual question, a little background: Around the spring of 2007, I noticed that my periods were getting longer and heavier!. They've always been pretty heavy, but this was way too heavy!. I had to wear only the overnight pads, and had to change it a least once an hour, sometimes less, or it would leak!. Well this kept on until November 07, when I started again!. And it didn't stop!. So my mom took me to the pediatric gynecologist at a childrens hospital where I go for my Type one diabetes!. Turned out I have a blood clotting disorder, which is why it was so bad!. They started me on birth control pills (seasonale, and 3 others that I can't remember) to try and stop it, which didn't work!. Well in April of 2008, it still hadn't stopped, and I'd been on my period for 5 straight months, no breaks!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wow!. Between being diabetic and having a blood clotting disorder, you have your hands full!. The way I understand it, when using the Mirena IUD, very little blood goes into the uterus to build up a lining!. With your clotting problem, that blood is never going to clot and build up to come out once a month!. It is simply leaking out as it enters the uterus!. On birth control pills, the blood still enters the uterus and builds up, just comes out as a period every month!. That is why you had lots of bleeding on them, as compares to the Mirena!.

Unless you can get the clotting disorder under control so the blood clots, I think you will continue to have the blood leak out as soon as it enters the uterus!.

No, it wouldn't be normal for people without your problems, but for you this might be as good as it gets!.
