Missing period for over six weeks, what could cause this?!

Question: Missing period for over six weeks, what could cause this!?
I know there are a million of these but I couldn't find one with a circumstance quite like mine!.
My last period was September 8th, it had been a little late at that point and when it finally came it was extremely heavy with terrible cramping (I usually have very light periods and little to no cramping in general!.) Now six weeks later my period is over due and just to be safe I took two pregnancy tests, both ended up being negative!. However last week I visited my GYN and the doctor thought it was a bit odd as well!. After another negative pregnancy test there the doctor took a blood test for possible hormonal problems (I may have Galactorhea also) and I get the results back in two days so I just wanted to hear from others who have had similar problems and what some theories as to what is going on!. you couldve just missed a period, if it was late and really heavy last time, your body might adjust to not having one this month, it happensWww@Answer-Health@Com

You may have had a small ovarian cyst that had ruptured your last period or was switching postions and is now blocking the blood flow form your ovaries!. Alot of time, unless an ultrasound is done some women don't realize they have them, esp if the are smaller and unable to be felt through the abdomen!. These things are known for causing missing periods, havey periods, painful ones etc!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
