Question: Morning After Pill - need some advice!!?
Hi - my friend has been bending my ear for advice, and I am really not sure so I turn to you lot for some words of wisdom!.
My friend took the morning after pill about a month ago after a condom broke!. She then had a period!.!.!. and had sex again over the next couple of weeks (protected)!. She then had to go on antibiotics for five days!. A few days after stopping the antibiotics she had unprotected sex (and yes, she has had her head bitten off for this, so no judgement please, she won't be reading this!) - from what I can work out, the sex was on her most fertile day (ovulation wise)!. She took the morning after pill AGAIN the next day, but she has just rung me in a panic because her boobs are really sore and she read somewhere about antibiotics affecting the MAP, and them not working as much during ovulation!.!.!.
Any advice I can pass on would be great - I've told her to go to the doctor, and she has and appointment on Friday - but I'd like to be able to give her some reassurance or something to go on, cos she is totally frazzled!.

Call your local hospital and ask for an Advice Nurse!. If you do not have access to their number, you can call (775) 445-8000 (Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center) and ask for their advice nurse!. I would be much more comfortable with you receiving advice from a medical professional!. You are liable to get all sorts of rediculous responses here that will not help your friend!.
