Question: My Period at age 13 I really need help!!!?
So I am 13 years old I had my first period 3 months ago and then (skipped 2 months)started my period today I was wondering is that normal also I am gushing blood out all the time I am wear pads that soak up the blood really well anyways I am also wondering is that wierd or normal! I am scared to tell me sis who is 21 and my mom cause I am afraid to I mean my sister knows I have started my period and so does my mom but I am scared to tell my sis cause I when i told her i didn't want to talk to her after cause i felt diffrent around her i don't know so please answer my question please please also I haven't felt really bad cramps just little ones that last like 45 seconds is that normal too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry, the first year or so will be pretty nutty and irregular!. My first year, sometimes I had periods that would last only 2 days, and others than would last 3 weeks!. It'll all even out after a while!. You shouldn't have to worry about telling your mom or sis!. They've been through this before, they were probably freaked out their first few times too when they were younger, they'll be your best support systems!. There's nothing shameful about getting your period!. : )
And be thankful if you're getting only minor cramps!.!.!.!.I had the horrible ones, where I could hardly stand up straight they hurt so bad!. And 13 isn't an abnormal age!.!.!.my period started before I was 13 so don't worry about it!.

It's normal to continually bleed for about a week, but could be a bit longer or shorter, particularly since you just started your period!.
It's normal to have heavier days of bleeding earlier on during your period, with the lighter days during the end of the week!.
It's normal to not have a period be regular for the first year or two of your cycle!.

When you first start your period, the first year is crazy!. Some months it will be normal, some months it will be light or heavy, some months it wont come at all!. Get used to it!.!.!.for a while anyways, I'm 19, and I have had irregular periods since I was 13 too!. After the first year it should be pretty average, and it will usually be on the some date every month, give or take a few days!. Sounds pretty normal too me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
