Question: Women that have HPV!? !?
I was diagnosed when I was pregnant with our daughter!. I had to wait until I had her to have my cervix scrapped, which I did March 06!. I was asked to come back in 6 months for a check up!. I did not go back!. I am really nervous and have been loosing sleep over what they might tell me!. My husband and I really want more children and are planning for 1 more in a year!. I know I should have gone!.!.!. Does anyone have some words of wisdom from personal experience!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had HPV in my twenties!. I had to have my cervix frozen!. I had a checkup every six months for 2 years and then every year after that!. I am now 43!. I have had no problems but I would get that check up!. I had what they called mild displasia which is the first stage of cancer!. This is nothing to mess with!. Please go get it checked out!. It should not effect you having kids, my doctor told me that the surgery I had will just make me have either a really quick labor or a very long one!. You need to get checked!!! I'm 20 and i found out i had HPV about 7 months ago!. Soon as i found out i had HPV my doctor recommended me to have a procedure called LEEP!. I booked a surgery date 2 weeks after he told me this!. (my first doctor wanted me to wait 2 months !!!) If it was that bad and i had pre cancerous cells why wait!?! its my life we're talking about!. Any way i had the procedure and 3 months later i had my first pap smear!. Negative!. I was happy but i didn't want that to get to my head since the doctor told me some might come out negative some positive so i didn't want to get too happy!.!.!.!.Any way the doctor said my cervix looked good and no cancerous cells so he didn't want to see till 6 months!. Which im guessing its a good thing ! At first the doctor wanted to see me every 3 months for the next 5 years!.!.!.!.!.
