How do I treat a yeast infection when I'm on my period?!

Question: How do I treat a yeast infection when I'm on my period!?
I've used those over the counter creams before and they BURN so badly that I will never use them again!. They are also ridiculously expensive!.

I can't eat yogurt because I'm lactose intolerant!. I'm currently taking AZO yeast, which is helping a little, but they have lactose in them and its giving me diarrhea!. I also know that they will not cure a yeast infection!.

I have an IUD, so I'm expecting a 2 week long period here!. I can't go that long with this itching!. I also can't go to a doctor because I'm living in a new town and it takes 3 months to get an appointment as a new patient!. I can't afford to go to urgent care!.

What am I supposed to do!!!?!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:

the generic brands are not expensive!.

Recent research shows that yogurt with active cultures may be a good source of calcium for many people with lactose intolerance!. Even though yogurt is fairly high in lactose, the bacterial cultures used to make it produce some of the lactase enzyme required for proper digestion!.

Probiotic supplements are also an option

Call your old doctor, explain the situation, ask if he/she can call in a prescription for you for Fluconazole (the standard yeast infection treatment) at a national pharmaceutical chain like Walgreen's or something, and then you can pick it up at your local Walgreen's or RiteAid, etc!. They'll likely do this even if they don't see you, because it's a pretty harmless pill to take!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get a prescription for Diflucan then swallow it with water!. I'm not certain if it's available yet without a prescription!. Good luck, that really sounds unpleasantWww@Answer-Health@Com

Drink Cranberry Juice! They help to clear infection!. I know that peeing hurt so I would take Cranberry over the counter pills!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
