ok!. my mom and dad r divorced, ever since i was 3!. i had my period for bout 5 months now!. i told my mom!. she was fine!. i havent told my dad!. its hard in summer cause at my dads house i have a pool!. oh and i also have a stepmomWww@Answer-Health@Com

Just tell them!. What are they going to do anyways!? Tell you to stop growing up!? If you want to be coy you can always mention that you need pads or tampons!. Just stuff in 2 packages of pads in your suitcase with your clothes!. and some cash so you can go to the store if you need more!. You shouldnt NEED to discuss it with your dad!. I never did!. Why do you need to "break the news"!? Every woman gets a period, I should think that your father would be very concerned if you DIDN'T get one!. Plus, he's probably not an idiot, and he'll eventually notice the pads/tampons if he hasn't already!.

Just tell him!. Don't worry about how "comfortable" he is; getting your period is totally natural and normal and a sign that you're maturing in a healthy way!. He's been with and around women and so should not be "surprised!." All women have it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
