can you get a yeast infection after your menstrual period if you use some kind of antibacterial soap or any soap!?

douching in general is a bad idea!. not only does it increase your risk of stds but it upsets the natural biotic balance of the vagina!. i realize that many women like to douche because they are self conscious of their smell, but beginning to douche only leads to a vicious cycle: douche to clear smell ->douche kills good bacteria->smellier bad bacteria grow, etc!.
and yes it does sound like you have vaginitis (itchy vagina)!. unfortunately that can be caused by bacteria, yeast, or even some stds!. it is best to see a doctor to be sure which, because otc treatments don't treat all three, and using the wrong one will only make matters worst!

Yes it's not wise to use antibacterial soap on or around you vulva/vagina because it has properties which can kill the good bacteria in your vagina that balance and inhibit the overgrowth of the natural yeast found in the vagina!. I found this out the hard way!.!.!.I was also on antibiotics at the time so I was double screwed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah, you can!. If you use soap down there, DO NOT rub it up inside!. Use it only sparingly!. In fact, I've had some doctors tell me not to use soap there at all!. Soap is an alkaline and it raises the pH of your vagina (makes it less acidic) and kills good bacteria, which leaves you susceptible to yeast!. Normally your natural good bacteria will keep yeast at bay!.

its possible!. since your body readjusts itself after your period and using some kind of douche soap could bring on a yeast infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
