Question: Why is my period so late !?
i`m 15 and started my periods at 14 i have had regular periods for about a year now and they are very normal and painfull i went to the doctor to see if she could do any thing and she gave me an anti inflamatory tablet to take a week before i was due to come on my perod i didnt come on my period so i stopped taking it , i never missed a period before why am i so late i was due on 3 weeks ago
p!.s i havent had sex before and i dont have a boy friend i also have been drinking lots of water and not eaten chocolate because i dont know if its to do with my diet !! > !?!?!? help Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you lost a huge amount of weight!? If you're underweight you're periods can stop all together!. Drinking water is great, keep it up! That won't stop your periods!.
I'm not too sure about the anti-inflammatory medication!. Maybe make an appointment with your doctor!. It's possible that it could be a side effect!. A lot of medications can wreak havoc with a girl's menstrual cycle!
Another - extreme - possibility is polycystic ovary syndrome!. But I would be very surprised if you have that!. There are many other symptoms!.
Other than that, it could just be random!. I used to be as regular as clockwork, then around 15-16 years old they just went haywire for no apparent reason, then settled down!. You're still a teen, and hormones can mess you around sometimes!.

It happens all the time for women!. Regardless if you been regular for months or years!. Sometimes our bodies hormones get a little out of whack and our periods come late, early, or not at all!. That's due to stress, sleep, diet, etc!.
If it never comes, or you go a few months with it coming totally irregular (wrong time, heavier, painful, longer, etc) tell your mom and you should see a Doctor to make sure nothing is wrong!

It just sounds like the pills have sort of put your period off time, so its just adjusting back to what it used to be like!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
