about 4 years ago when i played football at my high school my spleen swelled and caused me to miss an entire season!. it eventually went down and i was cleared to play!. about 2 hours ago i began getting a pain in my left side around where i believe i had gotten the pain 4 years ago!. the pain has slightly eased but i still feel funny!. my parents told me to see if it got worse (it hasn't gotten worse per-say) and to wait until the morning to see how i feel!. however, i'm nervous something might be wrong!. should i be nervous

With your given history, it's understandable to be anxious!. However, even if your spleen were to spontaneously rupture, it is easily handled in the ER (which is not to say that you will suffer such a rupture)!.
I'd recommend getting as good a night's sleep as possible and seeing your doctor in the morning!. If you have an increase in discomfort, go straight to the ER!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually you won't have any acute or emergency issues with your spleen (like you would with your appendix) that requires you to go to the ER tonight unless you suffered an injury to it!.
Unless you sustained a trauma, enlargement and issues with your spleen are usually a symptom of something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
