HPV (abnormal cells), am I at risk?!

Question: HPV (abnormal cells), am I at risk!?
I was diagnosed with HPV (abnormal cells) two years ago!. I went to the doctors and he examined me with some microscope!. I don't know what the exact term is but anyways!.!. I was suppose to go back within 6 months but I totally forgot!. Yes, you could say I was careless but honestly at that time I was unaware of HPV!. I had no clue what the hell it was and how dangerous it is!. Now starting this year I just started smoking (for about 9 months) but I recently quit!. Well my question is am I at a lot of risk because of the fact that I was suppose to come back within 6 months which I did not and because I just started smoking!? I'm waiting on my doctors appointment to get another check up!.!. Is there hope that at this stage I can still be cured!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There is currently no cure for HPV!. What happens is your body suppresses the virus and when your immune system is weak for what ever reason, it comes back!. You need to get a pap every six months because the disease has been linked to cervical cancer!. When they do a pap they check to see if your cells are normal!. If they are abnormal they do other tests to see if those abnormal cells are cancerous!.
So its very important to get the pap when your doc tells you because your at higher risk to have abnormal cells!. Like any disease, its better to catch cancer as early as possible!.
Most likely there is no reason for you to be worried!. But take this serious and talk to your doctor at your next appointment!.
HPV can be spread to others during sexual contact/intercourse so make sure your protecting your partner(s)!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should follow up as soon as possible!! HPV should always be followed up!. Your pap could be clear or you could have abnormal cells again!. Please go to the gynecologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
