Answers:
i have just turned 14 so i am about the same age as you and know what your going through!.
periods are sometimes irregular because you are fairly new to them and they haven't developed a cycle yet (every 28 ish days)!.
they will settle down between a year and two years and yeahh, starting boarding school could also have disrupted them because you have had a upheavle and are at a completely new place!.
hope i could help
lotsa love

Within the first 1 or 2 years of your period, it's really common for it to be irregular!. It's normal to skip periods, or for them to come late or early!. Just wait it out, it will come back and it should become more regular within the next year!.

The only way you could make it become completely regular is to go on the birth control pill, but that is a drastic step -- especially considering that you have only been getting your period for a few months, and some irregularities are normal!.

Also, different things can mess with your period, one of them being stress!. If you have just started a new boarding school, that probably means that you have been really busy and learning/discovering new things, so maybe that has had an affect on your body!.

But don't worry about it, it's completely normal and will become more regular soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Irregular periods are completely normal for someone who has just started!. It could take up to a year or two for everything to kind of balance out!. It's normal to skip a few the first year you start!. If you are worried about it, just set up an appointment with your doctor!.

Starting a new boarding school may cause stress!. If you have been stressed out, it can have affect on your cycle!.!.
Also, I know you're very young, but if you keep having irregular periods after a year or so, you may check on getting put on birth control!. It can help regulate periods, ease cramps, and clear acne!.!.All things every 13 year old experiences!.
And after you're old enough to become sexually active, it will prevent pregnancies!.!.!.
The best thing to do though, is to call a doctor, or talk to your mom!!

Good luck with everything!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please don't worry! I started my periods at 11, i'm now 20 and i've just started having regular periods a few years ago! You only started in May so you have nothing to worry about at all, it is perfectly normal and can take years to become regular!.

Personally i would wait another 12/18 months to give your periods the chance to regulate themselves, but failing that see your GP and ask to be put on the pill!. The pill is most commonly known as a contraceptive but also regulates your periods so may be worth thinking about!.

Start to keep a diary and circle the date every month that you start your period, over 12 months you should start to see a cycle occurring!.

If you have the stress of a new school then that could be contributing but i think the main cause is just that you haven't been having them for very long!.

Hope that helps!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Periods can take a few years to settle into a regular pattern, even if yours was regular for the first six months it's normal to miss periods or for them to come at random times!.

Starting a new school (or any kind of stress/big upset) can make your period late!. Just try to relax and have fun at your new school, and don't worry about your period!. You can make your period more regular by going on the pill, but just give yourself some time to settle into a regular pattern!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you first start your period, they can be irregular for up to 3 or 4 years!. Also, when a stressful or new situation arises, your period will also be disrupted!. You cant really make it more regular, it just takes time for it to settle its self into a routine!. You sound perfectly normal and healthy to me, and if I were you, I'd be celebrating not having a period more often!Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is very normal when starting your period!. It is common to miss a few and be irregular when first starting out!. It will become more regular as the time comes, don't be concerned about!. And no it isn't because you started a new boarding school, it is just perfectly normal it happens to most of us!. There isn't really a significant way to become more regular but it will soon enough!.
Good luck! ; ]Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're still young, and your period is still new!. Your body is still changing so it's not going to be regular just yet!. If you dont have one in another month or so then ask your mom to take you to a Gynocologist!. I really wouldn't worry about it!. But if you still continue to not have one then see the gyn!. It's not as scary as you may think, and I prefer a female doctor so you might as well!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its just because you've only just started chick, your body needs to get used to it first!. Theres nothing really you can do to mke them more regular apart from the pill, but becuase you are so young and have only just started your periods, its not a very good idea to mess your body cycle around before your used to it yourself!. Hope i could help (: x Www@Answer-Health@Com

i started my period in january and it didn't start back up until April and i thinkk it was because i was so stressed out of school and my period being irregular didn't help much either!. it also skipped september but came this month!. i guess it's just stress!. you'll probably get it next month or so!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in some girls it can take a few years to settle into a totally regular pattern,
maybe the change in environment did make it stop, because your body wasn't used to change!.
your periods can be affected by when the people around you get it, so maybe the change in people changed when you get them!.
nothing to worry about though :) xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well if you havent had unprotected sex I would say it was down to stress, you starting at a new school and all!.

When my dad died my periods stopped for 4 months and the doc said it was down to stress, it happens!.

Dont worry too much about it at the mo but see youre doc if it goes on for more than 6 months!.

xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is not unusual for girls to have irregular periods for the first two years and the stress of changing schools and lifestyles can add to the irregularity!. As you get older and your hormones level out you will develop more regular cycles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your periods will take time to get into a routine and a perfect date!.
when it does!.
you will know exactly what date you will come on!.
and you can be prepared!.
just for now cause you started not long ago; the dates will be all ove the place :)
hope this helps!.

For the first few years you really cannot rely on your period being regular!.
Anything even vaguely stressful will make it irregular - let's see - oh yeah - like starting a new school!
Just have to be patient I'm afraid - but be assured this is not abnormal in any way!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't bother counting days for your period because were young it shouldn't really matter were still having our bodies changing!.
Even me my period doesn't last for 6 days and it dosn't happen more than once in a month!. Go and see the school nurseWww@Answer-Health@Com

since you just started your period your body and hormones are still getting used to it, this is totally normal, i went 7 months without having my period, its totally natural and nothing to freak out about now since you are so young!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well ushually when you get it young it is likely to stop for a couple of months thats most likely why its like that
and there is nothing really you can do to regulate it
its very normal no worries

its probably down to the stress of starting boarding school, i got realy stressed at one point last year and missed a period! i wouldnt worry about it but obviously if it doesnt come back after like another 3 or 4 months go and see your doctor :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont worry when u first start having periods they can be quite irregular for some time, but they will eventually settle down 2 once a month but if you are stressed it can have an effect on the regularity, dnt worryWww@Answer-Health@Com

Probablly because you are stressed out from starting at a new boarding school i'm sure once you get not so stressed or settled into your new school it will come backWww@Answer-Health@Com

it has nothing to to with that
itll just be irregular for the 1st 2 years or so
don't panic
it perfectly fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

your fine! YOU JUST STARTED!Www@Answer-Health@Com
