Hey i know what your going through!.
Im 13 tomorrow yea so im kinda the same age as you!.

Okay i started using a tampon a few months ago cause i was on vacation and i wanted to go swimming!.lol
It was a bit uncomfortable at first but (i know this sounds stupid) but practice makes perfect!. i dont mean use a new one until you cant feel it lol!.
Okay so you know what hole to put it in right!? okay you have to get that right first but im sure you do know!.
You have to kinda slant it upwards as your vagina doesn't go in a straight way!.
Do you use applicators!? i sagest you use them cause i just cant stand sticking my fingers up my vagina thank you very much!!
You put the applicator in far enough so that it doesn't go too far in but not too far our either!. You push the thing in and pull the applicator out!.

The key to this is relax!. i like to close my eyes when i put it in cause the it just goes straight in!.( i know that sounds bazar bit it kinda works for me)!. Just relax your (hmm how do i put it)!.!.!. lower area and that will work better!.

I really hoped i helped cause i spent quite a long time doing it!. I HOPE IT'S WORTH IT

REMEMBER- Just have a little patients la la la la

Bye - HAPPY TAMPON-ING xox

GOOD LUCK

p!.s HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME FOR TOMORROW : 0 )Www@Answer-Health@Com

When my first period came I went straight onto tampons!. It took me over an hour to get the first one in, but the key is to relax!. Try and push the tampon to the back of your body rather than straight up!. If you're using non-applicator tampons try using the smallest ones possible with the tapered ends!. If it hurts, it's probably not in right so take it out and try again with a fresh one!. Just try not to stress about it, because you need your vaginal muscles to be relaxed as possible while you're inserting as it could be uncomfortable!.

Hope this helps :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be uncomfortable at first but u just have to get used to them =)

i find personally that tampons are much easier to use and i have used them for a while i do change to a towel from time to time!.
If you find using a tampon easier then using a towel make sure u dont leave it in for a long time!.

Also they are more descret, I have also used one while i have been swimming =) Www@Answer-Health@Com

no they shouldnt hurt at all if they are inserted correctly!.
which are you trying to use!? non applicator or non applicator!? whichever one you tried, try the other it may be easier!. i personally ifnd non applicators easier!.

the key thing is to be relaxed when you are inserting it - this will make it easier to slide in and open up your walls!.

if you can still feel when inside you, push it up further!. you should never be able to feel it - thats the great thing about them!

good luck! xxx

and by the way, ignore the first answer - you can not lose your virginity to a tampon!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I found them really painful and stopped using them
Asked my doctor and she said that there is a circular band of muscles at the opening of the vaginal canal, and you must get the tampon over that in order for it to feel comfortable!.!.!. or else it will hurt when walking/sitting
I was always worried it would get lost and I'd have to get it removed!
But yeah I was wrong!.!.!. but seriously if you find them uncomfortable just stick with pads, they're easier anyway :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will get better!. I know this sounds dumb, but you can try it 2 ways!.

Sitting on the toilet, relax and try the tampon!.

Or stand up, put one leg on the toilet seat and try it!.

Don't stand up or squat down, because that's impossible!. It will hurt worse I'm sure!.

Try Playtex Sport!. Those have always been the easiest for me before I got on the Shot because I don't have them at all now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is going to feel very awkward at first!. Use the smaller ones first and make sure you have enough!. When I first started I hate using pads so I decided to start using tampons!. It is going to be really uncomfortable but I would tried to stick with one for maybe 30 minutes and then take it out and then try again!. After awhile you wont even feel it!. That is what worked for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Honey, make sure you get the smallest size possible at first and be relaxed when you insert them - initially until you get the hang of them try an applicator as this will help with insertion and as a rule point it towards your back not necessarily straight up!.!.!.!.!.if you are uncomfortable try again another time dont get all anxious as this wil make it worse!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

usually that means it's not in high enough!. Good on you for asking!. take it easy with them and remember to not sleep with them in!. they can hurt!. i've been using them for 5 years and sometimes i get a little sore!. all they need is a little adjusting!. follow the instructions to a t and you should be alright!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

They are uncomfortable sometimes, but!.!. really the easiest way is probably either sitting on the toilet, squatting or!.!. hike your leg up on something, lol!.

You might have to try a different brand!. Some brands are uncomfortable to me!.

I like tampax pearl!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i asked this question myself
i got answers sayin it might hurt the first time
use it when ur ready
and the best company is tampax
the string might brak
but ur vagina cant stretch
use a tampon if u want 2 start of with mini its 4 starters

hope this helpedWww@Answer-Health@Com

not one bit! if it hurts you havent put it in correctly! try the tampax compact ones, i find those really easy to use as they are smaller than usual tampons and the casing is plastic so its easier to insert!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try the small ones first!. It hurt for me the first few times too!. You are basically losing your virginity to a tampon lol hence the pain!. It gets better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What size and absorbency did you try!?

You should first try something like tampax pearl lites, which are very slender and have a plastic applicator!.
