I'm Summer and I'm April's 18 year old sister!. April and I are VERY close and we're 5 years apart!. Even though I've gone off to college and I'm engaged and having my first son in December!. She and I are both exciting for the baby!. (I know I'm young and all, but THAT'S NOT PART OF THE QUESTION!)!.!.!. so anyway, April's had her period sense December and she was 12!. She was 13 in May and still gets her period regularly She eats a lot of fruit and veggies!. In my perspective she's a pretty healthy girl!. Well, she got her period on Sunday, pretty early in the morning!. She said it started normal, heavy, and the right color and all, but she's saying that it's now not normal!. It's a light flow and it's very dark, and said its sometimes brown and that this started Monday evening!. She's only 13!.!.!. so she's obviosly a virgin!.!.!. (thank the lord) so I don't think it could be any transmitted diseases, plus her ears were last peirced 4 years ago and the last shot she got was in January and it was the 2nd shot for the cirvical cancer vaccine!. She never did the second one, and my mom's sopposed to be calling about it!. Does anyone know what's wrong with my sister!? She's crying over this because she thinks there's really something wrong with her!. I'm scared to death and I really need to know what to do!. Please be considerate to the fact that there's a 13 year old reading all your answers and she's mega sensitive, so atleast be kind! Also, don't tell me I need to tell a parent, because I want to know whats wrong with her! Don't tell me my mom needs to take care of this and not me, because if we need my mom, we'll get her help!

A light period with brown blood means it's probably ending!. I've got the exact same thing right now!. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong!. If the bleeding persists for like!.!.!.over a week I'd call the DR!. But it could last a few days!. She just might have had a really short period this time around!. I have regular/heavy bleeding for 2-3 days usually then a day or 2 of light dark colored bleeding!. I am also on birth control and that is why I have exact days when I have my period!. it is VERY normal for periods to be black/brown!. It's just old blood that has stayed a bit too long up in the vagina!.

Brown discharge means is the end of the period!. Old blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It can take a few years for a girl's period to regulate!. Brown blood indicates old blood coming out, generally at the end of the period!. It's very hard to predict when a girl will become regular, but really, changes in flow and spotting are normal!. If she is having a lot of cramping, fever or any other danger sign, then go to a hospital!. Otherwise, it's probably just normal female puberty!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!.!.!. this is also with me!.!.!. I just got over my period and at the end of my periods like the last few tampons i use usually have some brown blood on them!.!. just means its old blood!.!.!.
