Question: I don't get my periods anymore! What are some possible reasons!?
I'm twenty years old, and no I'm not pregnant (I like girls you see)!.
I heard that heavy weight loss or stress can affect your periods, but I'm not stressed out nor have I lost weight!.
First my periods got irregular and there were long pauses, but no it's been months!. Has this happened to anyone and should I be worried!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

this hasnt happened to me, of course because im a boy lol

but my ex went 2 years with out having her period and she was 17 when it started, the doctor thought that it could be that she is infertile because if you are the ovaries dont need to produces the egg causing no period i shouldnt worry though because hers came back

Okay so you stated you haven't been losing weight or overly stressed out!. If you've gained weight, that could be an issue!. I would think over anything that has been a change in your routine over the past couple months!. Did you recently become sexually active!? If you have been exercising more frequently excessive exercise can cause cycle problems!. If you've had a serious illness it could be attributed to that!. Have you gone on any type of birth control to regulate your period!? Illegal drugs can play a part in a screwed up menstrual cycle!. It could be something as simple as a hormone imbalance!. OR it could be something very serious; diabetes, infertility, etc!. The only way that you will truly find out is by seeing a doctor!. A gynecologist will be able to examine you physically and have any necessary blood work done!. It could be something serious and I definitely encourage you to find out as soon as possible!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went for four months without a period when I was eighteen (after having been regular for about five or six years) I phoned my doctor after three months and he said if it was more than six months they would take me in for testing!. But it came back!. I guess if you don't get yours back within six months maybe you should just go in and ask them to check things out!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having a period doesn't affect you if you don't want to get pregnant!. Enjoy your time off!!! Www@Answer-Health@Com
