Question: I have questions about D & C!. Please help!?
Is a D & C painful!? How long does it take to recover from a D & C!? How long do you go without having sex after having one!? Do you have to wait to try to conceive after having one!? Does a D & C up the chances of becoming pregnant if one has 'unexplained infertility'!?
My Dr!. thinks I may have a polyp in my uterus & said a D & C would take care of it!. I had a few questions & wanted to be prepared!. Thanks in advance!

Well,I had a D&C after surgery for my endometriosis!. I was under anesthetic so I didn't feel it, but you do will definitely bleed and have to wear a pad!. I think it lasted about 2 days or less the bleeding!. It's like having menstrual cramps!. I'm sure you'll be given some pain medicine!. Ask your doctor about the sex part!.!.!.!. I think as long as you feel okay after you've healed go for it!. I would say at least 2 weeks wait!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
It is a scraping out of the endometrial lining to examine and 'de scale' inside your womb, you will probably be in for a day or so!. It will benefit you as the random bleeds will end and probably fully healed in 3-4 weeks!. The dr is at hand to advise pre operatively so write a little list of questions down, so you dont forget when you are nervous, and ask your consultant , good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
