Question: If you have a septate hymen, can there be penetration!?
I'm asking for a female friend!. Thanks for your input!. (Let's say the couple went ahead with intercourse without any surgical intervention!? How dangerous is this!?)

Depends on how high her tolerance for pain is!.
It might not hurt very much at all, but it might be *excruciating* because hymenal septa are often quite tough, and it's almost certain to bleed a little (maybe a *lot*)more than most hymens do!.
She could tear it herself or tear it with a couple of finger tugs I suppose, but that's pretty dumb!. It's just an invitation to uncontrolled bleeding, infection, vaginal tearing, or all three!.
Best to go for the surgical option i would say

The septate tissue is usually quite weak and easily broken But if they are worried, just get it surgically snipped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
