What is the best form of contraception?!

Question: What is the best form of contraception!?
I'm thinking of going to the clinic to get on birth control to reduce my chances of becoming pregnant!.

Is the pill-form the best way to go!? What is the most effective form of contraception - or are all methods generally the same!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

MIRENA (IUD/C whatever) is my favorite, but they usually only insert that if you've had a child!. The effectiveness is higher than female sterilization and it is easily removed if you want to conceive!. If you DON'T, you have to get a new one every five years!.
If you haven't had a child, though, here's my ratings on some others (I've been on birth control in some form or another since I was 12 (except for the 2 years i was trying to conceive and the 9 months it took me to carry that baby to term!)- heavy periods was the reason for them so early! not skankaliciousness! haha)
I, personally, hated the pill!. It made me super hormonal ( i was on OthroTriCyclen and OrthoTriCyclen Low for the better part of 5 years!)
DEPO-PROVERA, however, lady (if you can handle needles) is the TICKET!
you get a shot every 3 months, you don't have to remember to take the pill, your periods totally stop (for me anyway, after 9 months), no crazy hormonal imbalances!.!.!.
the downside of depo for ME was that i gained 15 pounds!.
a good thing about depo is that, after stopping injections, you can't conceive for a year!. so!. it's pretty effective!. i was off of Depo for almost 2 years before I conceived my son!.
So, if you've had a baby- get Mirena! I swear by it!
If not, I'd suggest getting Depo (and making sure to exercise and eat healthfully!)
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are two types of birth control pills- combined pills(with estrogen and progestin) and the mini pill, or POP's(progestin only pills) The combined pill is more effective, but, apparently, has higher instances of side effects!. The pill is about 97% effective, IF you take it right on time every day which, for me was hard to do so I got the shot, which is also progestin only but it gave me TERRIBLE side effects and I would never recommend it to anyone, though it is more effective and convenient than the pill!. Then there;s the patch and the ring, those are probably as effective as the pill!. The ring is said to have low doses of hormones in it so that is supposed to have few side effects but everyone complains about crappy side effects with any kind of hormone!. I have a copper IUD, it is hormone free and 99!.4% effective!. There is an IUD Mirena with progestin in it that is slightly more effective than the copper one, but it can only be left in place for five years and still, people complain of side effects with it!. There's an implant they can place in your arm which is over 99% effective and is left in place for three years and it has estrogen in it so is not hormone free!. With whatever hormonal BC you decide to go with, just know that it can cause certain side effects and if you experience any that are too bothersome, switch birth control pills to a different brand or do something hormone-free!. Just so you know what to look out for, here are some common side effects of hormonal birth control: headache, naseua, dizziness, irregular bleeding, weight gain, unwanted facial hair, breast size increse/decrease, hair loss, acne, mood swings, depression, anxiety, and loss of sex drive!. So if you are on a pill for a while and these things begin to happen to you and you can't figure out why, it's probably the hormones!. Also, some women have these side effects within the first three months and then they go away or lessen, some may begin only after your body has adjusted to the hormones which may be about three months!. The more serious(but rare) risks that come with taking any kind of hormonal BC are blood clot, heart attack and stroke!. Just so you know, Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pill is one of the most reliable and effective forms of birth control, but remember they do not protect you from STD's, you should always use condoms to protect you from STD's!. Condoms do provide birth control too, but they are not nearly as effective since they may not always be there when you need them, you might not get it on in time, or they can break!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

best form of contraception: you mother!. honestly!.nothing is more of a turn off than thinking of what your mother would say!.

but seriously!.!.!.!.

the pill is effective, but can have wierd side effects!. the best way to go is to combine two types eg!. condoms and the pill, or the injection if this is a long term decision!.

When taken properly, the pill is!.

If you do not think you are responsible enough to take your pill the same time every day then a condom with spermicide would be the next step!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pill is safe and works well to prevent pregnancy!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
