Make sure you wash your hands first!. Then sit on the toilet ang get a tampon unwrapped!. Stick it in gently about an inch in and adjust it, then put it in more and adjust it, keep going until it's in all the way!. If it doesn't feel right and you can't move it around and adjust it the first time, try it again!. You'll get it eventually!. Or if it doesn't feel right still, try a different kind of tampon!. Playtex sport is a nice brand!. Even if you don't do many sports, it goes in really easily and fits girls' bodies well!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well you shouldnt feel any pain, the only time i feel discomfort is when i remove one thats not saturated and is still dry when i take it out it kinda rubbs on the sides of the opening!.!. but its not supposed to be painful!.!. you could be A: using one that is too big!. try the very small ones for a while you may just have to change them more often!.!. and B: when you put it in i know "they" say to sit on the toilet and relax but i have found it easier to stand knees slightly bent!.!. when i sit they go in sideways!.!. haha!.!.!.
try that!.!.!. good luck but no they should not hurt if that doesnt help see a drWww@Answer-Health@Com

I too have found it easier to put a tampon in if I'm standing with my knees slightly bent!.
If it's hurting, you may want to try putting a little lube like KY jelly or astroglide on the tampon applicator!. Take a deep breath and relax!.!.!.it should slide right it!.
Also, you may want to angle the tampon so it's "aiming" at your tailbone and not straight up toward your head!.
Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
