Is it safe to use the birth control pill to change when your period will happen?!

Question: Is it safe to use the birth control pill to change when your period will happen!?
At the end of November, I am going on vacation in Cuba!. Unfortunately, my period is scheduled to start on the 2nd day that I'm there (and that means PMS, headaches, sore boobs and non-stop bathroom trips to check my tampon while I'm supposed to be having a relaxing time)!. I stopped taking the birth control pill a few months ago due to risks with long-term use!. I still have a few unused packs leftover!. I was hoping that I could take the pills for about two weeks, and then stop them, causing my period to start and hopefully finish before I leave for Cuba!. I wanted to know if this will have any short-term health effects on my body, or if this is a relatively safe way to move my period out of my vacation time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's completely safe, don't worry!. I talked to my doctor about the same thing and she said it's normal and safe!. A lot of women do it to prevent having their period at awkward times, such as weddings or vacations!. If you don't take the pills for long enough before stopping it may no be as effective, but there's still a good chance!. Have fun on your trip!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
