no it cannot!. i have gotten the first two shots so far and i'm fine!. there are some side effects like fainting and swelling of the injection site, but there are no long term risks that will really effect you!. if you are really worried consult a doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to get the shot and make sure (from a professinal doctor) that there are no risks that you should be worried about
