At first, it is normal!.
Don't worry, it is way normal!.
If you have been doing it for a long time, the commercials and ads and stuff all say that is should stop hurting!.
I would maybe slow down the process while pulling it out or try a new brand!. If the new brand is something you like, keep it, but if it still hurts with the other tampon brand than maybe you should cosult a doctor!.

It normally shouldn't hurt!. The only time it might is if it hasn't been in very long, or if your period is very very very light, because then the tampon isn't moist enough and will be a bit tougher to get out!. If it hurts way to much, what you can try to do is have a bath or a shower and let it get wet that way, and then take it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If there is resistance when you tug on the string then it's not saturated enough to come out!. Leave it for awhile and try again later!. Use the lowest absorbency tampon for your flow e!.g!. heavy flow, use a regular tampon!. This way you'll always be sure it's full and you won't have problems removing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
If the tampon is still kind of dry it can hurt a lot!. I had that problem with one certain brand of tampons, it just didn't seem to absorb even when I was bleeding heavily!. I switched to another brand and it never happened again!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
That usually just means that you haven't left it in long enough to become soaked with blood!. If it's a bit too dry it can be quite uncomfortable to remove!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
