Ovarian cysts help!!!!!!?!

Ok so Ive had a UTI for a week now!. Have been on antibiotics since Wed and am still in horrible pain!. Went to the DR today and she did blood work and another urine test!. My white blood cell count was up but was nothing alarming!. My urine still showed infection!. My sugar was 120 even though I havent had anything to eat or drink in well over 20 hours ( havent felt like eating since I have been sick) She ordered 2 ultrasounds, She said she didnt think I had a kidney stone since I had no blood in urine but she is going to go ahead and do a renal ultrasound!. She also mentioned that it may be an ovarian cyst!. ( had one a few years ago that was the size of a grapefruit that I had surgically drained)!.
My question is could a cyst cause so much pain ( I dont remember Because I also had a ruptured appendix at the same time I had the large cyst) and also cause my period to be late!. Its a week late!. Blood test was negative for pregnancy!. If I have a large cyst and it ruptures nothing will show on the ultrasound right!?
