They usually take a 6-12 hours to work!. I would have started with 1 pill and then had another if the 1 didnt work!. You took 2 so hopefully that will do the job!. Whatever you do, dont take more today as you will end up with dreadful cramps and feel really ill!. If 2 doesnt work ask the Chemist staff what to do!.!.!.I would suggest that taking another 2, 24 hours later will probably be enough to move things along!.

Gentle laxatives are usually what they say they are so you should be ok!.!.!. It really depends on what the active ingredients are in the laxative as to how much of a tummy ache you will get!. The ones with senna in them are really good and dont give you the dreadful pains!.!.!.Its the chemical ones that give you awful pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have had to take them in the past--i've always used herbal laxatives -"swiss kriss" has worked very well for me (tho frequent use can still cause dependency) i never even got cramping--just the sensation that you need to go (sometimes urgently) so when it kicks in you may not have a lot of warning-or time-i think usually they kick in after about 12 hours (read the label on what you took) so i've always taken them in the evening and usually they work sometime the next morning (like before you have to go to work, school etc) also something like metamucil is natural and much gentler on your system tho takes longer to work (so it depends if the constipation has been going on for a long time and if you're already getting cramping from that) try not to let other people scare you-everyone responds differently to things!.!.!.also--nothing to be embarrassed about--it happens to everybody sometime or another!.!.!.

also--just like to respond to deedeeth--your system can become dependent on laxatives and at some point your body won't be able to have normal regular bowel movements without them--please talk to a doc about that--if you want to "cleanse" it's much safer to do an enema tho weekly is still probably way too much--but like i said talk to a doc--also if you are regular and don't have some sort of illness there is really no need to 'cleanse" that often--if you are concerned about ridding your body of toxins a brief juice fast every once in a while is probably a better way to go --but like i said--please ask a professional!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's only painful if you take too much!. It's embarrassing to admit but i suffered from bulimia (vomiting & laxative abuse) and if i took too many i would cramp up so badly and it was HORRIBLE pain!.

That being said, if you are taking 1 or 2 (i doubt i'd go for three!.!.!.but its up to you) you shouldn't feel any pain , you may feel a slight discomfort but nothing to cry over!.

Dont listen to people who are going to say that stuff!. They're being silly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I remember, you will feel some cramping and then you will have to go to the bathroom!. Make sure you are near a bathroom and one like at home where you are comfortable!. I took laxatives and was at a friends house when they kicked in!.!.!.!.how embarrassing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have to do that too sometimes! Don't be embarrassed!. Well I have taken that kind too!. It's not that painful!. My stomach hurt a little when I went to the bathroom and my "product" was a little runny, not to gross you out!. But you will be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It shouldn't hurt too bad!. Just some moderate gas pains!. And you might be up all night going to the bathroom, but you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
