Getting off of the pill...is this normal?!?!

I have been on birth control for over 3 years!. I decided to get off of it back in July!.!.!.I haven't had a period!. About a week or 2 after I got off the pill I had real light bleeding for just a couple of hours!. Then about a month later it happend again, but it was just a tiny bit like the last time!. Ever since then, I've had nothing!. Is this normal!? I talked to my doctor about 2 months ago because I had a sinus infection and had to go in there and he said that it can take awhile for you to regulate, but can it take this long!? I'm constantly taking pregnancy tests and I'm tired of worrying, so was just wondering if this is normal and if it is, usually how long does it take until you start having periods every month!? I just got married last month and my husband and I are thinking about trying to get pregnant sometime next year, so I'm hoping we don't run into any problems!?
